About
Maddy is an Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner, Art Therapist, and Yoga Teacher based in Hobart, Tasmania. Over the past 25 years, she has followed two enduring threads—holistic health and the creative arts—each deepening and intertwining as her path has evolved. Today, these once distinct roles have become an integrated whole: her work as a therapist, yoga teacher, and artist informing and enriching one another in a deeply embodied, creative, and compassionate approach to healing and self-discovery.

Maddy’s approach to therapy is holistic, inclusive, and affirming—honouring the unique emotional, physical, spiritual, and creative dimensions of each individual. She offers a non-pathologizing, client-centred space where people can explore their inner world with curiosity and kindness. Through this lens, therapy becomes a place of homecoming—a gentle return to the intuitive strengths that have always lived within. She believes that good therapy can bring real ease in showing up to this complex human life.
Her work is deeply rooted in the Internal Family Systems model, where she is Level 2 trained. With a heart full of compassion and ears attuned to deep listening, Maddy offers a space of true presence and care. Her therapeutic style is profoundly shaped by her long-standing commitment to Zen Buddhism, a practice that has, in her words, “infiltrated the fabric of my being, serving myself, my students, and my clients.”
Maddy holds a Master’s in Therapeutic Arts Practice from the Melbourne Institute of Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy (MIECAT), a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tasmania, and is professionally registered with ANZACATA.
